BEING SPONTANEOUS CAN WORK BEST
When I to walk the dog, I sometimes see it as an opportunity to do a training that was not on my plan. This morning, I decided to put on my running shoes to go for a run. I knew Iska, my dog, would be able to keep up a bit longer (and faster) because it was not so hot. My intention to run easy for an hour turned into an intense 13km training (1h10) including 4 x 6' at threshold pace. I felt so proud of myself...
And for those who would like to start running
How about trying to alternate running and walking? For example, start running 5 minutes (or even less) and then walking 5 minutes. Keep going like that. Start with 30 minutes and increase little by little the total length and/or the time of running vs walking. You will feel the improvement very quickly!
